Role: Community & Sales Manager

Role Description

The OneValley Community and Sales Manager is the key face of OneValley Pittsburgh. This role provides an exciting opportunity to manage the community efforts of a high-energy co-working space, run a multitude of events and programming, and experience all aspects of operating a shared workspace.

 

You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and expanding the relationships between OneValley, the startup community in Pittsburgh, and global corporations; owning the sales process to reach and exceed office and membership targets; building relationships with the community; filtering requests from the startup community; assisting in programming and events; and ensuring partners, customers, and startups are satisfied with their Innovation Center workplace experience.

 

The Community and Sales Manager will report to the Innovation Center and Events Director of OneValley Pittsburgh, and will be required to work effectively with the local team as well as our distributed team in our Silicon Valley headquarters, India and across the US. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the Pittsburgh location reception, organizing startup-focused community events, and supporting the Community and Events Manager with content curation, partnerships management, and broader OneValley initiatives.

This position will start ASAP and will be based full time in our stunning Pittsburgh Innovation Center.

Key Responsibilities

Coworking Sales

● Outbound sales prospecting to identify potential members.


● Closing Deals / Negotiating Amounts of Membership Contacts.


● Designing Office and Desk Proposals competitively to other local Cowork spaces.


● Identify and maintain a pipeline of startups, nonprofit and enterprise coworking customers that align with the OneValley criteria.


● Handle all office inquiries and tour requests; provide a seamless tour experience throughout the Innovation Center and

   all perks/amenities offered by One Valley.


● Ensure desk/office space capacity; responsible for office and membership sales, hitting targets and quarterly OKRs (Objectives & Key Results). Owning data
   tracking and financial reporting to management for coworking sales and community metrics.


● Assist in maintaining a pipeline of corporate partners for events and OneValley corporate innovation programming.

Community Management

● Conducting tours and welcoming member prospects in the Innovation Center.


● Leading front desk reception duties and managing incoming visitors to the space.


● Customer service oriented; “Face of The Company”; you’re a key point of contact for the startups in the building and their guests. Stay engaged and informed
   about our community members and their activity in the space.


● Maintain a clean and inviting atmosphere in the Innovation Center.


● Manage incoming and outgoing mail for OneValley and all community members; answer phone and take diligent messages.


● Stay up to date with current events, meetings, and happenings in the office & the Pittsburgh startup scene.

● Providing event support and management for both community and 3rd party events taking place at the Innovation Center. This may include events that are
   outside of standard work hours, such as in the evenings or on the weekend.


● Assisting with projects as assigned by senior members of the OneValley HQ team.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Required

● 1+ years customer service and/or administrative experience; ideally experience in a sales oriented and/or customer facing role (but not required).


● Ambitious and hard-working.


● Passion for the startup space.


● Intuitive and solution oriented - it’s important to be the first line of defense for the company, and being solution oriented, while knowing when it is appropriate     to involve senior members of the team.


● Immaculate communication skills, both written and spoken.


● Team Player; willing to take on tasks outside of your duties when called upon.


● Consistently upbeat and positive attitude.


● Excellent focus and attention to detail.


● Driven to provide the highest quality of work.


● Excited to work in an ever changing and unpredictable environment.


● Willingness to work in office at the OneValley Innovation Center 4+ days per week.

Preferred

● Experience in Tech, nonprofits, real estate, or hospitality a plus.


● Experience in sales of memberships or commercial space.
